A Beautiful Thanksgiving Day!

Sorry no details here about food, friends and family. See our previous post Fakesgiving for more on that! :)

Ty had to work on Thanksgiving, so I took Josie and Kate to the free pre-Turkey Day swim at the Y for a few hours. Not surprisingly, there weren't a lot of people there. Afterwards we grabbed some munchies at the gas station, since it looked like a ghost town on Blue Lakes and headed to the park for another couple of hours. It was a gorgeous day, 50s and sunny! Then we came home to see if Ty wanted to go to Box Canyon with us. Our friend Nate was talking about it at Fakesgiving and it is literally 15 mins from our house so we thought we'd give it a try.

When we got there both Kate and Josie had fallen asleep, so Ty carried Josie for a few minutes and Kate slid into her new backpack and we were off!

Down to the right you can see how blue-green the water is. It literally looks like the Caribbean!

I'm not sure why, but Josie has some fascination for Porta Potties. So of course she had to go try it out! :)

Box canyon is between Ty and Scratch and all of us.

Kate just chillin' like her usual self...

 CHEESE!!!

It was such a good time! Ty and I want to go back there and do a little more scrambling, but it was a little more slow going with the girls, but as you can see they had a blast.
