Christmas Spirit and Birthdays!

Here's a peak into our house this year at Christmas!

Ty and I usually drive up in the mountains to pick out a nice tree, but this year with Ty's schooling being so busy, we just picked one out down at the corner tree lot.

I love real trees! Our house smells sooooo good!

This one is definitely the most bushy tree we've ever had before. But it took a lot more lights too!

Here's a picture of a sign we found at a Festival of Trees and fell in love with it. I think I might keep it up year round, just because I like it so much!

Ty has been working for a family we know putting up all of their decorations and lights since November. I kept bugging him about getting ours up and one day, when he was sick of studying he put them all up. He even put some on the garage and the "stable" (a.k.a. Bully Barn).

Saturday was Ty's birthday and we went to Sushi Ya for dinner with some friends. It was really yummy! Our stake put on a Christmas Musical Program that evening that I was singing it. It went really well. Afterwards we went to a great movie, Did You Hear About the Morgans?

Afterward we had some homemade Oreo Ice Cream Cake.

It looked so good when I got done with it that morning, but I think the whipped cream was not thick enough and melted off the sides and around the bottom while it was solidifying in the freezer. Oh well, I guess it can't be perfect! Haha! But it did taste FABULOUS!!

Happy Birthday, Ty! I love you!!

  1. Your tree looks really nice. Our tree is easier to put lights on however. (pop up like an umbrella with the lights on). I want that lamp that you have on the table. As usual, Ty's tongue is out.
